Boonanarring Mineral Sands Mine Public Environmental ReviewImage Resources is proposing to undertake conventional open cut dry mining and processing of mineral sands at Boonanarring, north of Gingin. A Public Environmental Review (PER) has been prepared by Image Resources for the proposed Boonanarring Mineral Sands Mine in accordance with Western Australian Government procedures and is released for public review between 8 January 2014 and 12 February 2014. The PER describes the proposal, examines the likely environmental effects and the proposed environmental management procedures associated with the proposed development. It documents the results of environmental investigations and assessment that have been carried out by Image since late 2012, and has been prepared in accordance with the Environmental Scoping Document issued by the EPA, and as an example of successful implementation of the EPA’s Environmental Significance Decision Framework (in accordance with EPA Environmental Assessment Guideline No. 9). Copies of the PER and its appendices can be downloaded using the links below. Hard copies of the PER document together with electronic copies of the Appendices to this document may be purchased for $10 (including postage and packaging). CD versions of the PER and its appendices will be provided free of charge.
